These ignorant people keep comparing slavery and the statues to Hitler, Nazi Germany, and Concentration Camps.

I wish I would have taken off of work today and dressed up as Ignatius J. O'Reilly today and gone to the meeting.

They could triple the murder rate and it still wouldn't put a dent in the idiot population.

I should care about this. I know I should care about this. I just turned the Live Feed off. I don't care anymore. The SJW's and racists have beaten me into submission and won. They can do whatever the frick they want, I have to go back to work and make money to pay for whatever these folks are going to do with my taxes.

Good luck New Orleans, as if you weren't a shite city before today. This is the beginning of you truly being the sister city of Detroit. The decline is real.

They can make a monument to someone car jacking a fellow citizen. Maybe a statue of a dude with dreads forcing a guy at gun point to give him a blow job.

He just said "it is my duty to help elevate the public discourse."

And yet he has not and will not talk about crime, education, infrastructure, poverty, blighted neighborhoods, etc...

Another hypocrite.

They should replace it with a bronzed monument of someone shooting another person.

The minute Landrieu would start speaking, I would stand up and start screaming, "My valve is closing, make him stop!"

Or maybe replay the scene where he is at the Prytania and make loud obscene groaning noises and pop paper bags during the awful movie.

From Wikipedia concerning Beauregard:

quote:

As a lifelong Democrat, Beauregard worked to end Republican rule during Reconstruction. His outrage over the perceived excesses of Reconstruction was a principal source for his indecision about remaining in the United States and his flirtation with foreign armies, which lasted until 1875. He was active in the Reform Party, an association of conservative New Orleans businessmen, which spoke in favor of civil rights and voting for the recently freed slaves, hoping to form alliances between African-Americans and Democrats to vote out the Radical Republicans in the state legislature.[50]

It's a beautiful work of art, I'd hate to see it taken down. I think Beauregard Parish ought to be able to get the statue if it does get moved.
