What is it

it is more akin to a limo company than a cab company, still regulated by the same board...but different rules.

There are some really inarticulate people on both sides of this debate

This is the first one I've watched. Has it been like this for every meeting?

They just started the proponents side.

Do you not think this guy from Uber is articulate?

Nope but they are drivers for hire moron which require permits.

Uber would be smart not to try and bribe, I mean lobby New Orleans into being allowed to provide a service.

It sets a bad precedent with other cities. Id let this backfire on NO politicians and make an example out of them.

There are a lot of filler words and phrases as well as unnecessary pauses. He's certainly more articulate than what I heard from the opposition. I would just expect something more polished.

Living in a city that has Uber AND an efficient cab system, I still take Uber.

The cab system in NOLA is atrocious and anyone living there should be begging for something, hell ANYTHING to come along and improve the taxi system. If Uber isn't allowed, it will just be another shining example of why Louisiana always seems to be a step behind the rest of the country minus Mississippi.

NOLA's unique culture extends even to garbage pickup.

Cars parked in the street will be an issue along with trees over hanging in the streets. It won't work in all areas.
