New Orleans apparently doesn't deserve Uber

What a disrespectful bitch.

why not try to improve the system with innovation, technology, and competing services?

She did. She's pathetic. He's already answered her accusations

Guidry placing blame everywhere but the city.

I actually lol'd.
But now she's shitting on the cabs. So I guess she would rather cab reform, but how is she going to get that to happen? Seems to me bringing in someone that can compete with them might be a good means to accomplish that goal.

Why is surge pricing such a hang up? You understand what you're paying. Why is this a problem? Because it's not fair to the consumer? Take a cab. Because it's not fair to the cabs? Screw the cabs. Maybe they should revise their business model.
What?

Maybe it's the way I do things, but I haven't ever had a problem getting United to pick me up uptown late at night. I also like how they don't let other people take my cab unless I am dragging arse inside a bar. Even then, they call a bunch of times before they do
During special events downtown though, I have had some trouble. I just figured out to have the valet guys call cabs for me and don't really have a problem anymore

That isn't what he said, but it wasn't a good comment

Getting a cab Uptown takes no more than 10-15 minutes…try getting a cab after JazzFest, a Saints game or God forbid Mardi Gras…aint gonna happen. Uber fixes that among numerous other issues (poor cab hygiene/dirty cab, bad customer service, seamless transaction process)

That's yet to be seen

I paraphrased but that was his message. Basically, Taxis import drivers not from NOLA, Uber will hire NOLA residents. not sure why he even brought that up though. I think he was trying to make a point that your everyday college kid's vehicle is not going to smell like a crack whore.

Because NOLA is the greatest city in the world. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
