Uber needs to bring to town their BEST public speaker and the most qualified EXPERT to these corrupt NOLA meetings. not hating on the current Uber GM, this is a really tough job to do being grilled in front of a camera with questions that are for the most part, ignorant and stupid.

If all the cars have to be inspected through the city... 
The taxi inspection thing is already a complete joke. The only station is in the East and has horrible hours. Also drivers pretty much sleep overnight out there just to hopefully get an inspection that day.

Exactly. It is one of the least productive and most corrupt entities in the city. Fck them and anyone on the council defending this "industry" they are trying to protect.
The regulated "industry" fought like crazy and whined non-stop for months last year when they were forced to start accepting credit cards, possibly get GPS devices, and not allowed to drive piece of shite stinking cars with no A/C.
