Who is this guy's cab company speaking right now? I am going to call him every time I need a cab. So I can complain about how shitty his service is.

this guy speaks well, but what is his point?
Posted on 6/24/14 at 1:24 pm to Napoleon
His point is that he wants an application developed for him

apparently, he wants a single app for all cab companies

he has made no points. he is just rambling.

Finally he makes a good point…Every cab should be based on an app-service…
but unfortunately NOLA is years away.

prepaid too. He's free to develop one and get the cabs around to use them. Sounds like he has a business idea if that is the issue

I love this guy, Uber is so awesome but let us figure it out we will get it.

Do these cabbie fricksticks not understand a free market and competition?
Posted on 6/24/14 at 1:26 pm to THRILLHO
For those watching, any impression on which side is "winning"? Basically, any guesses on which way the council will lean?

That's what I got from it.
Williams supports Uber. So I was hoping to hear him question more.

they're in an industry that is propped up by government to eliminate a free market and overall competition

Will Uber be supplying the vehicles ?
Tigerwise, you are terribly misinformed about how Uber actually works. They do not own any cars or directly employ any drivers.
As far as Uber black car, they are all licensed limo drivers that own their own businesses and are locals. When they have free time in between their booked gigs, they switch on the app and they can pick up fares.
How exactly did you think this worked?

Apparently not at all.
If you want an app for your company...fricking make it your goddamned self.
That is not an argument against a company that, you know, already did it themselves. Sounds like they are just pissed they didn't think of it first.
Well tough fricking titties. Let Uber in and guess what? All these cab companies will be forced to try and compete and innovate.
Posted on 6/24/14 at 1:28 pm to JohnnyKilroy
this guy doesnt even realize that he is basically welcoming uber. if the service is so shitty, why not allow it there?
Posted on 6/24/14 at 1:29 pm to BottomlandBrew
The main problem I have with these arguments is they are asking for Uber to be as over regulated as the cab companies rather than asking for lessening the regulations for themselves
Posted on 6/24/14 at 1:29 pm to SlowFlowPro
if they think Uber is so shitty, why don't they let them come into the city and fail?
