NOLA Children's Museum Closing Indefinetly

They just moved into their new facility last summer.
Here's the hell of it. A significant part of that 47.5 million dollars came from... the State of Louisiana. Yes, somehow, the state gave them construction funds. They got 28.5 million in state capital outlay funds.
Hopefully at some point they will be able to re-open, but that entire new facility was built around the idea of "physical" learning - i.e. kids running around, touching stuff, hanging on stuff, making a mess, etc.

That new children's museum is pretty badass even though there were several exhibits closed when we went.

JBE was at their big opening event. It is a great facility and hate to hear it is closing. Like most such places, I guess people just aren't coming because of this "deadly" virus.

1) April - May is a huge time for school field trips for places like that, and the schools were closed, so they lost all of that.
2) Destroya's orders mean they can't have parties / events of any decent size
3) People are scared to bring their kids to inside places
4) The sanitizing that a place like that needs, with those types of exhibits, has to be insane.

oh, boo hoo. the schools aren't open and the teachers aren't teaching them anything either. Why should they get to learn anything at the museum? Shut it all down and keep those little bastards stupid. They're all gonna be on the government tit like good little useful idiots. More votes for dems.
