NOPD presence

They don't have a presence in the middle of Canal Street in broad daylight.

In Kenner I've seen our beat cop circle the block twice in the past 2 hours. This is what I pay for.

Any visible NOPD presence?

Saw a couple sitting on my way in.

Troopers are out all over the interstate.

I saw one zip down St Charles maybe 40 minute ago. Other than that nothing other than some people walking their dogs.

Everyone tried to get to to higher ground and all these little cars are now stuck up to their axles on Napoleon neutral ground.

Checking in from Lakeview- couldn’t get the wife to leave this morning. Luckily I’m in the one quadrant that has operable pumps. We have some family staying with us now and a few neighbors that also stayed.

If you wanted to leave she would have gone.

I'm ridding it out in English Turn. Wind is whipping, but all is well.

This.
Nothing has changed except a slight jog east

I guess since the winds were so low with this thing yesterday, some had just assumed it wasn’t going to strengthen or something

Just had to move my chair back out to the porch. Too nice of weather to miss.

I'd get out. Talk to most people who stayed for Laura, they would have left too.

Laura wasn’t that bad off you had a generator. Most everyone I know stayed.

Agreed. I'm going to sit on the porch and read with a beer or two.

How are we feeling about the Northeast Lakeview area with Pump Station 12 being down? I'm getting awfully nervous about my place flooding off of Marshal Foch St. We have had water get somewhat high over there with some rainstorms lately.

I don't want to discount water, but this will be a wind storm more than a water one. We will get plenty of rain, but the wind is the real danger with this one.
