Heavy flooding on LSU’s campus has put some roads and parking lots under water, university spokesman Ernie Ballard said Sunday. Ballard said he did not anticipate closures or cancellations as a result of high water around campus. “The flooding should be temporary as campus draining catches up,” Ballard said.

Not if it keeps raining

My guess is they'll make a decision around 6:00 tomorrow. If things are still flooded cancel classes before noon, reassess at 11:00

They made me go to school until about 30 minutes before the first wave of Hurricane Rita hit....and never canceled for snow or ice. Hell, I remember gawking at a passing Tornado with a bunch of other students on my way to class from the west Stadium lot once. No cancelation.

They should cancel for flooding, but they won't. Get prepared if you have a test or quiz.

It's sprinkling near campus. Probably would need some heavier downpour.

Burbank and Nicholson is still closed and rain is about to return. They need to think hard about doing anything today.

Rain isn't about to return in any significant way. The stout south wind and water running from North of here should be filling up all the rivers and drainage basins. That's the only hope for no class. Slow drainage.

Even still, a lot of the roads coming into campus have stalled cars and all out there. It's going to be a traffic nightmare today.

Of course. I'm sure it's going to be a disaster getting to campus. It's OK, if I must go through water and stall out I'm just going to sue LSU.

It'll be fun.

There's never any safe way to go to work in New Orleans and work never gets cancelled.

LSU will cancel classes around 3 this evening

To my knowledge, the only standing water is on Burbank.

You're in college to be educated. You will be off in two days. Grow up and go to class.

The water always goes down quickly once the rain stops. I drove to work which involves going right past campus and it was like any normal Monday. I did see 2 cars that must have stalled out and flooded last night but they were far enough off the side of the road to not be a big problem.
