I havent received a review after more than 7 months at my current job. An employee that has come after me has received their review. Should i be worried? I get feedback and my work is good.

The only time we give a probationary review is if you’re a shitty employee during your first 90 days.

You’ve never worked somewhere with an initial probationary period? First 30 days, 90 day, etc? I don’t think I have worked somewhere that didn’t. It’s when your benefits and shite kick in.

Relax. Reviews are for guiding new employees who haven't shown adequate comformity to policies but who can be assets. Obviously you're doing well.

Usually we just do that to the shite employees. It's basically to cover your arse. Here is what you need to improve on, we have it in writing. If you dont, you can be fired and not sue us for being racist or sexist.

As said, all a probationary period is is a time for an employer to confirm that you will be a good employee and give themselves an out to fire your butt if you are not.

If they didn't can you within 90 days or give you any official coaching, then that means you passed the test and all is good.

Change the oil in the fryers. That will impress them and you'll get a good review. Don't sweat it, man.

And if you can fix an ice cream machine, you'll be named employee of the month. Of course the late shift workers will be all kinds of sassy nasty to you for making them do their job, but keep your head up and you could be an assistant manager in no time.

A guy in my office was just let go on the last day of his probationary period. May want to get that resume up to date.

This was after 2 years, so this isn't a universal truth.

I wouldn't be too concerned. Doing performance reviews is the most tedious job a manager can have.

edit: the fact that you're still employed with that company should tell you a lot.

What the hell kind of probationary period is 2 years? Sure they aren't all 90 days, some are 30 days, some 6 months or whatever. But 2 years is absurd.
