If you spent as much time doing something productive with your life, than defending every liberal ideal on a message board, you'd be going somewhere.

I'm doing just fine buddy. Thanks for your concern though.

You can continue with your low expectations of minority officers. I won't be joining you.

You are putting words in my mouth. I do expect the trainees to have a better judgment . I also expect trainees to make mistakes. However I am not going to get rustled and whine when their consequences were the same as the consequences of the enlisted Marines situation. As already stated, trainees are expected to make mistakes. It is the military's job to train them and remedy these mistakes. It has Already been stated by West Point that they will be further trained in this area. What would you want the punishment to be? Lynching? The same as the Marines who were virtually in a similar situation in a photo? Or somewhere in between? And remember, the flag meant something else to the Marines. Just as the closed fists meant solidarity and not that blacks were going to defeat Whitey.
Wait, I've had an epiphany . I am tired of these black people getting away with everything. Flog them in public. Then Expel them. Do not train them. #amidoingthisright

So you don't understand the difference. Pro-tip, officers and especially graduates of the service acadamies are held to vastly higher standards than enlisted guys with a few months of training. Your attempts to equate the two make you appear foolish to anyone with a clue.
You'll also see, if you read back in my posts, that I think they only should have been smoked. That's military slang for forced exercise. Nothing in the permanent file. It used to be part of the common military experience, but thanks to folks like you, I doubt these gals have ever had the privilege.

Who's putting words in whose mouth again?

As a white person I think it's hilarious that other white people say " if they were white they would have gotten punished". LMAO, we get away with shite all the time.
I know several former cadets and none had a problem, they said they did way worse shite than that.

They are not graduates yet. What makes you think they did not also have extra duties or whatever?

Yep. But but, the black people..

Also southern folk want to waive the rebel flag and say it doesn't have its orginal meaning anymore and it's about pride in your geographic area. Young black peoples wasn't to raise their fist for the same reason and those same rebel flag loving folks freak the frick out.

The article claims it was a pre-graduation photo, taken two weeks before graduation. Do you have anything to dispute that? If not, and you're reduced to splitting that hair, I'll catch up with you later, man.

not trainees,
I would not call West Point cadets "trainees" and compare them to enlisted foot soldiers. They're not on the same level.

Flogging is a bit harsh you racist bastard...
But if the standard is held up, they should be dismissed for violating a variety of Articles.
Whether you see anything wrong or not, it is what it is

If you had 20 white cadets in uniform waiving Rebel flags in this day and age, they would be dismissed...
The military is supposed to be above these issues...not to say once upon a time it wasn't bad...prior to the Reagan era it wasnt great...

This post isn't helping your cause. What in the frick do you think would happen if 20 white cadets posed for a picture with rebel flags?
I'll give you time to think it over...

That is such horse shite. It wasn't a planned political statement?
I know quite a few people who graduate and have these photos with no reference to political movements.
They were being stupid, hard to say they were doing something worthy of serious punishment. Deserved something for being stupid though. Being stupid can get you killed in the military

I agree with the superintendent, they didn't willfully raise their fists.
Posted on 5/12/16 at 9:10 am to Charlie Arglist
They should have been dealt with in the same manner as Private Santiago, imho.

So you're saying the reaction should be the same as the freak out over the confederate flag. Good point.
