The two caveats that lead to divorce, especially money. I think you're fine dude. 22 yr old girl drama will subside. Girls at that age overreact to the slightest issue. The key is to let them work through their problems and don't become an enabler. You have to step back from time to time, however, remain close and make them aware you're there for them when real trouble arises.

On second thought, your friend should start hiding money on a regular basis, if possible. Once the kids are grown he can hit the door. Meanwhile, he should get some side poon. Unless it is physical, I don't think his wife is worth the oxygen she breathes.

This has been mentioned a dozen times in this thread but I need to chime in, have him hire a Private investigator, find out who she's fricking, document it, then live the life of a single guy again without having to pay spousal support (and if you get a really good lawyer, child support).

I know a woman who used to be a hooker. She said that was most of her middle aged clients. Wife doesnt take care of the business, any more so husband goes and rents a slice now and again.

Well, even if he trusts his wife and she is NOT getting any on the side, then at least he has peace of mind.

My reaction to my wife cutting me off and being patient as hell for three years was to finally file for divorce. Wound up getting the house, full custody of kids, and giving her a vehicle, all of her jewelry, and a modest cash settlement. Best investment I have made in a damned long time.

No, trust me from personal experience. You just need to find the right lawyer and nail the future ex before she finds one and nails you. Timing and getting a good pit bull lawyer is everything.

If both parties are invested in a healthy relationship, there are constantly going to be times that you're doing something with the other that you'd probably rather not. Gotta compromise a bit in any relationship to make things work.
Once one side refuses to budget on something as big as intercourse for vague/selfish reasons, that's a problem. Especially if they refuse to seek counseling.
