It's tragic and awful that she lost her life over that nonsense but this seems like the right call. I don't believe that officer did anything wrong. Just a bad situation.

I’m sure you’d have these same thoughts if Antifa was attacking the Capitol and the victim just happened to be black. We all know what would be going on right now if this happened to someone who was black and the cop wasn’t charged. Yeah she was breaking the law and should have gone to jail for it, but it’s bullshite she was shot. This cop is a fricking pussy, and we’ll never know who this coward is in all likelihood.

It's better to shoot first ask questions later in such a stressful situation.

Does your logic apply to all of the police involved shootings? Would be good to know for future reference.

1) Both Ashli Babbitt and Duante Wright were in the process of breaking the law. Babbitt was part of an unlawful assembly and illegal trespassing; Wright was resisting arrest and attempting to flee from police.

She was trying to force her way into an area she was not allowed. She was well beyond what you describe here. Most states consider breaching an entry like that a violent crime, normally breaking and entering. Resisting without violence and fleeing and eluding are not considered violent offenses.

There should have been a lot of dead looters and rioters this past summer by your logic.

So I guess we should have done as Pelosi wanted, brought turrets, and then just mow down the entire crowd then.

Imagine blasting some thug who’s breaking into your house and the prosecution says the intruder posed no threat to life and limb so you couldn’t legally shoot them. Lmao.

Your home and a public building are not the same as far as fearing for your life.

For those that think this was a good shoot...you believe that all of the people in the capital that day could have legitimately been shot dead? What was this woman doing that others weren’t?

She was caught up in the moment and paid the price unfortunately. But she made a bad decision. You don't storm the capitol, break into secured areas, assault the Capitol Police.

Tragic that any life had to be lost that day. Surprised more weren't killed.

Yeah, that's called illegal trespassing. A misdemeanor in most states.

Breaking and entering by itself is typically charged as a misdemeanor.

And if you’re for the cop that shot Wright being prosecuted, you are directly advocating for a class system where certain laws apply to certain people and not others. I don’t see any major difference between the two incidents and should have the same charge. You have no idea what you’re advocating for.
