Bring back the XD and give it the same or more tow rating that the highest 1/2ton. The nameplate was way under its actual ability.

Man I’m about to start looking at smaller trucks and was considering the Frontier. Not sure I even want to consider it now.

Why? The V6 in the Frontier is bullet proof.

I have a 2022...put almost 50k on it so far...It's been a solid truck. I did have to change the battery recently.

V6 engine with 305hp, NOT a CVT transmission, 4 door that holds all the same fishing stuff in it that my RAM did (that surprised me but it's true). It's worth a look in the mid size truck market.

And on the interstate 70% of the time I get 25 mpg.

To say they’re cheap isn’t accurate.

I drive a ‘23 Ram 2500 Laramie for work and my wife has a ‘25 Yukon Denali. Sure the GMC is nicer but it’s also 20K more expensive. That doesn’t make Rams cheap shite though.

What kind of income/careers do you guys have? You have almost $200k tied up in depreciating assists.

My last Rouge took me 300,000 miles and the only major work I ever did to it was the AC.

When some companies need to reimagine themselves, maybe it is time to drop the Nissan name and go back to Datsun and offer a line up of affordable US made cars with US components and get rid of technology like the CVT transmission.

Count how many you see tomorrow's on the road vs 2015 or earlier 4runners.

The sold less, yet there are still tons of them running around.

It wasn't your boyfriend's crossover, it was a midsize suv with a half ton frame and driveline under it

This is the way.

Nissans are like any other vehicle. They have an occasional hiccup but will generally take care of you if you aren't an idiot and do regular maintenance.

2001 Maxima lasted me 9 years and 120k mile where the only issue was power steering hose failure in year 8.

2014 Infiniti QX60 (wife's) went 135k and 10 years with only the CVT shudder (that was fixed under warranty at 35k).

2014 Infiniti Q50 (bought in 2017 with 21k miles) still going strong with almost 140k miles. A/C compressor replaced 2 years ago.

2017 Maxima (bought used in 2019) sitting at under 80k miles. Replaced A/C compressor this year.

In other words, all 4 have been solid mechanically with the same niggling issues other vehicles get later in their lives.

Why is this particular to Nissan? Is this supposed to be a revelation?

There is a large market for simple mid sized trucks and SUVs. Body on frame, reliable NA V6, a real transfer case and, dare I say, 3 pedals. Throw a decent sized screen with care play in it and you will attract a portion of males in all generations.

Bring back the Titan in a simple V8 gas guzzling form and it'll sell due to the lack of simple reliable options.
