I find it hard to believe these people exist. Everyone I know has had Covid at least once

My experience with COVID was a low fever and aches. Only other symptom I had was a loss of smell the first time. Second time I didn't.

Yes. I had every symptom in the book when I got in back in Dec 2021. Night sweats was one of them. The nausea came shortly after that

It also sapped my appetite to the point where I ate the equivalent of one meal over the course of an entire week

I could definitely see that happening. I am making it a point to eat and drink, even if I don’t want to.

This was covered extensively on The View. Check your TVO around about March 2020.

Is this common?

It was for me when I had my one and only case of Covid about a year ago. Same thing with waking up soaking wet with sweat at least a couple times a day.

My wife is just getting over something similar, but her Covid test was negative. Lasted a week, never ran a fever, but very achy and tired, and heavy night sweating.

I’ve heard that a lot of folks are testing negative early on. Positive tests are more common after two-three days of symptoms.

I woke up a couple of times last night sweating to the point that the sheets were wet enough to where I had to change sides of the bed.

I wish that was the worst of it. Started feeling like I was coming down with something in the evening a few hours before bed. Woke up around 2 damn-near violently shaking from shivers. I must have been doing it for a while because my entire body was sore and I could barely move. Temperature got over 103 before I took motrin and tylenol. Had night sweats the next few days but the worst part was feeling like I got hit by a truck.

Alcohol is hell on the immune system.

Night sweats were the first symptom that alerted me something was up besides just a cold/allergies.

Mine were super weird because my head was bone dry but I could literally feel the sweat running off of my sides under the covers. It was really weird but only for one night

I had it in November for the first time I know of. Three days where it hurt to get out of bed, a few more days of extreme fatigue, and a couple weeks of hacking cough I thought I would never get rid of.

My elderly parents both had it the first week in January. My mother didn't have any symptoms except a cough, and she had a breakthrough seizure (she has epilepsy) that they suspect was caused by the COVID. My dad was so weak for a couple of days he couldn't stand up without help, and he had acute bronchitis, but after 6 or 7 days he was fine.

Both got remdesavir, which has a lot of scare stories but they had no side effects and it seemed to help them.

I like how some are like 'ooh I had it and it wasn't bad so it's not a real big deal'. frick y'all. I caught for the first time two weeks ago and I was absolutely miserable for 8 days. I've had the flu, this was nothing like that. And yes, night sweats suck. Even worse are the day sweats just when you think you're feeling better.
