Haven’t passed in a while and did today. Are they finally gonna put left turn lanes on 30 ?

Whatever they are doing now should've been done 15 years ago. And what they'll end up doing in 15 years is what they should be doing now.

No doubt. Much of it has to do with the railroad being a mother fricker to deal with. They don’t want play well with others.

Does anyone know the estimated completion date? I will then add 18 months to that date.

I didn't spend much time on that side of town back then.
It shouldn't take a genius to figure out that Nicholson should be a 5 lane highway from campus all the way to I-10 by Tanger. And I realize the railroad creates some issues but that is literally only 1 maybe 2 intersections that would require some creative thinking.

Just the fact that there was never a green arrow for cars turning left onto Brightside is beyond belief. Labadieville does it better, and they have one light.

I believe it was scheduled for july, 2018 to July 2019. We have had a ton of rain so I assume that will be pushed back. I am actually impressed with the design on DOTD site.

Still doing work on the bridge just after the intersection. Have not seen any dirt work other than that at the moment.

They have been installing large box culverts and the plan appears to go to the culverts and not a traditional bridge as they’ve had before.
They have also done some major drainage work on 30 where those apartments and shuttered convenience store are. They have also doing some drainage work between 30 and the RR track.
