But at least Shane still will continue to live in Old Metairie

quote:

After announcing last year that he was moving his offshore transportation company from the Central Business District to Metairie, Shane Guidry said this week that Harvey Gulf Marine International will remain in its longtime home in the heart of downtown.

The Hancock Whitney Center headquarters at 701 Poydras St. in New Orleans,

Shell relinquished naming rights on 2018 but it still occupies nine floors, where it employs about 1,000.

Guidry attributed the about-face to the recent election of Jeff Landry as governor and Landry's plans for dealing with crime in New Orleans. Guidry is a close confidant, advisor, and megadonor to the incoming Republican governor, as well as a co-chair of Landry's transition team.

Let’s see how this works out for him….

As long as Jason Williams is the DA, I’ll believe it when I see it….

So basically the whole “we are leaving the city” thing was a temper tantrum by an egocentric rich guy. Got it.

I hope Jeff Landry does something. Dispose of Williams for one. Jefferson Parish is becoming a cesspool bc nobody will stop the thugs and bums.

A renegotiated lease in a building soon to be hurting for tenants once Shell relocates likely had something to do with it too.

He also probably got a great deal on renewing his lease since so many other companies are leaving New Orleans.

Shell is moving out of the building but they are moving to the River District and building a brand new state of the art office building.....

Landry is suppose to be appointing a state over seer to the dist attny office as well as the mayors office.
He’s also suppose to be putting more state police presence in the city.

He’s for nola officials shuttering right now
