We have been lucky our whole lives with having either low key or great neighbors. Never had an ounce of trouble with any of them and we’ve had quite a few.

Who has had severe issues with their neighbors?

I’m talking directly next door. Not across the street or down the street. I’ve had plenty of loons a few houses down or across the street which is pretty normal but never an issue with next door neighbors.

Neighbor banged my wife and mom then stole my dog and did donuts on my lawn before burning down my house and beating me up in front of my dad.

2nd floor neighbor in an apartment was an old Mexican grandma who dumped her cooking oil down the drain all the time...which in turn caused a HUGE backup in the main drain/sewer pipe that flooded all the first floor apartments with you know what.

Luckily for us, it was confined to the bathroom and hallway. Some had sewage covering every square inch of their floor.

Not necessarily a horror story, just one with a sad ending.

We shared a duplex in Old Metairie (fight me) with another family. At first it was really good. He only had one eye, so I wasn't too worried about getting Jody-ed... even though his name was literally Jody. His wife would get drunk and hit on all of us, but who fricks Jody's wife?

We lived there three or four years. Lots of long walks on the levee with various members of both families, playing fetch with our dogs, getting drunk and smoking dope, parades, Halloween; snow days, blistering hot days.

It all broke up, though. Jody started hanging out with some literal bum on Airline Highway and smoking crack with him in a tent. I don't know Jody's pain. He had a pretty OK wife, a nice place for a rental, cute kids, etc., but he'd also lost an eye and was unmistakable lower middle-class. I remember seeing him at rock bottom and he just lifelessly asked me for change- completely different dude.

I decided to move the family to Atlanta. I don't remember Jody being a huge part of it, but I'm sure it influenced me. He kind of started getting shite together in the last few months we lived there, but it didn't last. We left a dog with them and it ended up at the SPCA.

Mine has their 54-year-old daughter living in their guest house and the mom always sides with the daughter even with blatant evidence the daughter is in the wrong. The dad, who is in his mid-70s, is always sitting in his driveway drinking so he doesn't have to deal with it. He has told me how since the daughter moved back in, his whole life is turned upside down and he has no peace.

I would drink too if I had to deal with the wife and daughter as he does.

Thankfully we all have one-acre lots so I don't have to deal with them much but I need to add some fast-growing foliage on that side of my property to block them out more.

Out of the places I have lived, this is my first time having a crazy neighbor story and it is fairly mild thankfully.

Back fence neighbor in Houston was mistress of banker who had the house in his control. She had parties in her small back yard until 3am weeknights. A favorite was getting her doberman pincer to bark: who could get the dog to bark longest. Then her small dog growled at the large dog when it went for small dog's food, and large dog killed small dog and got blood over three rooms. (She got hysterical because she was going to have to pay to have blood removed from the wall paper.)( The she moved.)

That’s pretty $hitty on your part. Leaving your dog with a crack head.

Haven’t had any serious altercations with any but the things i have had were the recent one that was renting across the street. Which was the only rent house on the street.

This bitch had 4 dogs and these MF’rs would bark nonstop everytime they were outside. Well, i eventually grew tired of this. I bought the strongest dog barking stop devices i could find on the internet and hid them in my bushes and a tree by the road so it was close as i could get to her house.

Well, after a few weeks of silence from ALL DOGS in the area, this bitch actually got on the next door app and addressed saying she knew someone was harming her babies cause they didn’t like to go outside anymore and did anyone know what was going on lol.

Nah bitch, it’s cause it’s not ok for your dogs to bark nonstop while they are outside.

There was some collateral damage cause other houses that just had normal dogs, well they didn’t bark anymore either lol but in war there are unfortunate casualties sometimes
