All of this disparaging shite and theories being spewed about the young man in the thread, but a few of us asking to see the video (which is by all accounts not graphic) is just taking it too far.

But your brother threw the buoy? I'm starting to doubt you.

I'm being told by a parent there that kids were begging the captain to stop and he didn't for 10-15 minutes. Two kids stepped in, removed the captain and stopped the boat.

Kind of hard to believe if true.

I agree. I would hope the Captain would stop immediately.

pretty typical right after something like this to have rumors just run wild. A lot of them not even close to the truth

I was told the exact same story this morning by a parent who is there.

Very tragic situation, but I would be shocked if this is true.

So they just kept driving away for 10-15 mins after he went overboard? Did they not realize they lost a passenger? I imagine they weren't moving fast but still...were the drivers also drinking?

There’s no way. Maybe 3 minutes felt like 10-15? There has to be more to the story.

If true…I’m sure that will be on the video that someone was videoing.

It is time for you to STFU! You are just spouting rumors and speculation as to why he was in the water.

If he is telling the truth, he has two blood relatives that were there when it happened. I don't think you can characterize that as spouting rumors and speculation.

Whatever the story is, it appears it will have a tragic ending and affect many people in a tragic way. So very sad.

The video is pretty nuts, guess if the current was strong enough he could’ve been pretty far away from the boat pretty quickly. As someone who went on the Bahamas trip back in the day it’s pretty hard to believe it’s still a thing. So many liabilities

Dunno? Just repeating what another poster said they were told from a parent on the trip. I was told the same timeline and events. So we either know the same person, or there is some legitimacy to the story thus far. As they always do, I'm sure the story will change 10 times before we all learn the truth of what all went down.

Ive heard from the mouth of several people that were there what happened and not one of them told the same story. One adult and two kids on the boat. I think it's safe to say everyone was shite faced by the way these stories have been told.

I did too and genuinely surprised something like this hasnt already happened before. 500+ newly graduated 18 year olds from the same city going to an all inclusive resort in a foreign island country with the legal drinking age of 18 and hardly any adult supervision. This is obviously close to the worst that could happen.

Robbins is listed as U-High’s top senior baseball player.

Evidently a popular guy. I’m not going to believe a rumor from some Kinder yahoo who registered just to post on this topic.

Seems less likely than almost anything else being posted. Maybe the captain thought they were all wasted and didn’t believe them

Robbins and other students from U-High had just arrived in the Bahamas about four hours before they went on the boating excursion.

So they had just gotten there.
