Meh when you love your wife this shite doesn’t really exist. Y’all must have married people you shouldn’t have, your spouse should be your best friend and you enjoy doing stuff (even mundane house stuff) together

That's the stage we are at, fully retired. My wife tells me to do as I damn well please. In my previous relationship with my ex, I had always been someone who worked overtime, always taking care of others, fully supporting stepkids who had deadbeat dads who never contributed one penny of support, never doing for myself.
Often I worked overtime just to keep me from having to go home. I would go to work just to escape the constant drama and bullshite at home.
Its completely different with this wife. She only fusses at me for not doing more for myself. She encouraged me to be more lazy or to indulge in what I wanted ( custom fishing poles, a boat, etc). She said on our first date that her dream home was a humble camp on the water. Within a year, we bought our dream home and are building our own private paradise.
Honestly, it was hard at first to just relax and do what I wanted. I felt guilty at first but I have definitely made the transition to being retired and doing as I damn well please.
I thank God that I am finally able to live my life my own damn way. I raised my kids and other people's kids and they are all grown. Now it is my time to enjoy the rewards of my work.
Hope you all end up like this, finally having a peaceful life with a low maintenance wife.
