what kind of man willingly turns over his arms to the state?
The same type that were forced into ovens and gas chambers by the Nazis.

The really sad thing about this law is that it will take zero guns out the hands of criminals.
No criminals will even consider turning their guns in.
No criminals will even consider turning their guns in.

Love how they had to state the shooter was a known for white supremacy, yet all acts of Muslim terrorism we have to “guess” who did it and “we can’t reach for judgement. The whole world is screwed

So cops can choose not to enforce gun confiscation laws but have to just do their job when ticketing for sagging pants or some other unconstitutional shite?
Eta: I think a lot more cops will be happy to enforce than folks think. Especially the ones who have an us vs them mentality

If I’m a cop their is no way I’m going to participate in AR confiscations. You’d have to be insane to do that.

have many friends that feel just as strongly as many on this board on the issue. but i'm fairly confident if they have to choose between turning over their guns or getting into a shootout with the feds when they show up to take them, they are gonna hand them over. they will always put their kids/family in the house above their guns
lets say if 19/20 comply, that still leaves the 1 out of 20 that will go down for freedom, multiply that out equals thousands of Ruby Ridge type standoffs, the government has neither the will or the manpower to ever even think about this.

So freaking ignorant.
You can call me whatever you want. But you know I am right. A man that will willingly give up his guns is no different than the ones who didn't fight back when their own people were being exterminated.

The Germans exterminated people in camps all day long, went home to their families each night and dutifully went back to work the next day to kill more, with their neighbors by their sides complicit in the genocide.
The power of conformity is underestimated in the United States because our country is an exception to the natural order of tyranny, but there are many historical examples where most people find it easier to go along because the personal cost is perceived to be too great.
I think society is too soft and I don't know if we could pull off another revolution these days if Big Brother comes for our guns in the future. How many people do you know who would really hide Anne Frank in their attic and join the resistance?

We should thank the Lord our Founding Fathers didn’t think like you or we’d still be a British colony.

We have been seeing a pretty quick breakdown of the rule of law governing what power a president has. I only remember back to Bush but they've been abusing executive orders. I think we are seeing the beginnings of tyranny.

You know damn well what he’s talking about. You people for the confiscation of guns will be the first ones lined up against a wall and eliminated when the boots really do hit the ground. The weak are always the first ones to go in society.
