Yeah, I can say for a fact that many of the major Wall Street banks are looking at movinng out of NYC except for major client facing units due to how expensive it’s gotten to have an office in NYC.

Texas says hi, you're welcome, and go frick yourself New York.

I’d rather live in NYC than Texas lol.
FWIW, people have very elaborate systems to keep from having to work in NYC.
I’ve talked with people who would fly in to Jersey and make the New Yorkers come out to jersey so they didn’t have to even get hit with a one hour tax

‘New York’ is a broad term.
There are super poor boroughs of NY and there are boroughs of the super rich.
There’s a bunch of folks in Upstae that have nothing to do with the boroughs.
Think more.

As tax-fleeced businesses and individuals flee en masse, and city public spending surges into the stratosphere, financial analysts say Gotham is perilously near total fiscal disaster.
Translation... Middle America will soon be saddled with the multi-billion-dollar costs of the massive NYC Bailout.

You're probably just being sarcastic but in case you're serious, NYC wasn't going to "give" Amazon any money so there's nothing "extra" to spend elsewhere.
I was being completely sarcastic, but used the actual words AOC said when amazon announced they were not going to set up HQ2 in NYC. That was her actual thought.
Bill Debalsio if all people had to correct her publicly

Detroit 2.0. NYC has become a disease. Socialism does not allow for a middle class. It’s haves & have nots. Ask yourself is the middle class shrinking and if our policies are becoming more and more socialist.

Exactly, these idiots flee the liberal disaster, then move to conservative states and vote the same type of people into office that they were fleeing. It’s like a cancer spreading.
i wouldn't mind enacting a yankee quota
