I hit this exact description, except the entities were Jesus and he morphed into the snake, on a shrooms tea trip where my buddy the picking guy loaded the tea with way too much. I drove home (not sure how I made it) and laid in my room and listened to Lateralus.
I was reading The Psychedelic Experience translation of the Tibetan book of the dead by Tim Leary at the time and I basically went through each bardo.
It was wild, before I hit that one you said I first connected with every human's thought patterns and experienced cosmic consciousness, death, and rebirth

Those are the machine elves. They kinda keep everything tuned up as you journey through their space.
You can tell them to frick off very suddenly and they will leave you alone.
Once you get past that uncomfortable part, provided you’ve taken shamanic levels of dmt, then the interesting stuff happens. The alien life forms will mostly try to mind frick you unless you end up around some juvenile ones.
Or so I’ve heard.

ETA: You’ll have a better experience if you can provide them with some value. Help them with whatever they are working on. Cause next trip, most likely but not always, you’ll be building on the previous interaction.
