My buddy's F150 leaks pretty badly. He didn't go to work today because it pisses him off to go out and hear water sloshing around because it leaked through the sunroof. Not just a light moisture, standing water

I spotted your mistake.

I doubt they will give you a new truck, but they absolutely should fix it and give you an extended warranty.

I didn't even know that trucks came with sunroofs. I don't think I've ever seen one.

Yep. And I use the shite out of my sunroof, which has never leaked a drop. Terd is just jealous.

I know this doesn't help your situation but sunroofs are dumb. No one uses them after the first couple months and they leak. I'll never buy a car with one.

I have had 3 cars with factory sunroofs. Not one has leaked.

I've had two Ford's with sunroofs. I got a a 02 F-150 Lariat with one when I was in high school and my 2012 is the exact same Lariat, fully loaded, with one.

Never had a single issue with either sunroof.

Nor have I ever used said sunroof

That's false. Certain options are only available with certain packages.

That won't work in a lemon law case.

OP should right now contact a local attorney that specializes in or will handle, these types of cases.

Truck may have a bent or damaged roof, which is why they can't repair.

I'm not going to special order a truck, hell I would have liked a king ranch but they didn't have one on the lot with the options I wanted so I went with a Lariat.

I just picked from the 15 or so they had on the lot

eta: I don't think my sunroof has ever been opened

I've bought 10-15 cars with sunroofs. Never had one leak a drop.

I think OP's truck has something wrong with the roof itself, meaning that whatever cracked the sunroof, dented the roof itself.

More like it. You can't buy a base and add every thing you want. Certain packages are "unlocked" with certain trims.
For example, you can't get leather in a Chevy camaro without it having the RS package. The RS package is only available with the 2LT(v6) and the 2SS(v8).
Every manufacture has similar groupings of options.

Exactly, I wanted a F-150 Lariat with the max tow package. Well the only one they had on the lot also had a 6.2 L V8, which was just an added bonus. The downside though, is that with the 6.2 engine for some reason it doesn't come with power mirrors. So I have the bigass telescopic mirrors, that I love, but they aren't power fold because I wanted the raptor engine.

When was this? I have an '08 with 5 cracks that bug the crap out of me.

This was in October 2011. The GMC rep called my local dealer and negotiated some deal with them on my behalf. It was a really weird deal, looking back. I did pay $107 for labor.

They replaced the glass the first time. I opened the roof and a bunch of plastic stuff was was pushed to the back of the roof. I took it back immediately. They kept it a few more days and said it was fixed. I picked it up and noticed it had an air leak that made lots of noise. I took it in again. They said it was fixed after 2 days. I drove it home and noticed the air leak was better but still present. It had a bad water leak this morning on my way to work. They are coming to get it today to fix it for the 4th time.

Agree, they keep options tied to packages so you have to buy the package to get the option.

You can only get a heated wheel in a F250 if you get the Platinum, for example.

I've had 3 GM vehicles and a Toyota that all had sunroofs and they never had issues.
