Interseasonal forcing will be surprisingly good for early July as future 95L moves westward. One to watch.

For anyone interested there was an actual tornado that hit without warning out in Nebraska last night. The NWS North Platte office managed to completely drop the ball and not warn a clear tornado. It hit a town with no warning, doing damage. It went unwarned for several frames.

Either someone, or more than one, was fricking off and completely missed it, our there were some major technical issues going on. Either way, this was a legit tornado that hit without warning.

I heard about the tornado, didn't know about it not being warned.

I saw where someone thought it was the NWS Omaha office tagging them, and the NWS Omaha office basically tagged the NWS North Platte office telling them they need to warn the storm.

NHC up to 60% for 95L

quote:

2. Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL95):
Satellite images indicate that a tropical wave located several
hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands has become better
organized since yesterday with a more concentrated area of
thunderstorms. Environmental conditions are forecast to be
unusually conducive for late June across the central and western
tropical Atlantic, and further development of this system is
anticipated. A tropical depression or tropical storm could form
this weekend several hundred miles east of the Windward Islands
while the system moves westward at 15 to 20 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...60 percent.

I’m too afraid my dancing would have the opposite effect and deter any storms!

I got exactly 15 drops of rain at the house about an hour and a half ago. We aren't incredibly dry at this point, but it has been a couple weeks since we had rain.
