I don't give a frick if they're black, I just want them to be so far up North Baton Rouge's a-hole they're afraid to even think about crime. This city cannot survive with a police force who lets NBR pillage the taxpayers.
I have zero faith that Broome will hire one who is tough on crime.

I think they are going to go with the stupid, lazy and refuse to take responsibility for their actions defense.
I want to hear the Dindu moms use that. "Yeah, Alton did that shite but he was stupid, lazy and I never made him take responsibility for his actions."
Yeah, I bet they go with that.

Since we don’t really have statues to take down, BR has a black female mayor, and if a black police chief is picked, then what will be the cause of all the crime?
we have a civil war confederate graveyard on Flordia near the bus center

Myron Daniels is the perfect person for the job IMO
However, SWB doesn’t think like I do
Myron should be the pick.
Has the street experience
Has the education
Has the highest score on the chief’s test
Gary doesn’t want him as chief
He checks all the boxes.

From tonight’s meeting
quote:
Myron Daniels, currently at BRPD, is first candidate up for closing statement. He said reducing crime, especially domestic violence, and addressing consent decree are top priorities. He has a full written plan for strategies.
quote:
Ronald Steven, former BRPD officer, said he brings leadership, experience and fear to the job. Leadership from military and law enforcement career. Experience from those careers. Fear from fear of God.
quote:
Louisiana State Police deputy Murphy Paul said he didn't expect this level of transparency when he applied for the BRPD chief job, but he appreciates it. Now he is talking about importance of leadership.
quote:
Robert McGarner, currently with BRPD, submitted what looked like his entire personnel file with his chief application. It was filled with awards and letter of commendation, which he says he earned by himself.
quote:
McGarner just said that if he was appointed chief tomorrow, he would call attorney general Jeff Landry to view videos of Sterling shooting and catch up on the case because he said he doesn't want to be behind the case.
quote:
Candidate Darryl Honore, currently at BRPD, gave a shoutout to public comments tonight. He said there should have been at least 100 internal applicants for this job.

I don’t care if they are black. Are they qualified?
I get that and agree but there's not a snowballs chance in hell that 5 over qualified white guys could sniff the final 5 at the same time without BR burning.

when will the lawsuits for discrimination be filed?

BR was so wonderful before the dear St Alton was taken. A lost treasure.

So Baton Rouge is 38% Caucasian and has zero representation for police chief? Are white people scared to run there?

How surprising./..................

Some did. But we have a black SJW as a mayor now

equal opportunity, unless a black person is providing said opportunity.

My comment was deleted about LeDuff being chief and no one made a fuss.......

So this is the deal -- there is no way that not one single white or Hispanic person was qualified enough to make it into the top five. The Mayor has made it clear that the only thing she cares about in a police chief is his skin color, which is intrinsically racist. One can only hope that they are qualified to make things better.
