Where would you even get drag queens to put on a show in new roads? I guess you have them shipped in? I suppose there is a touring group of drag queens who put on these shows.

I don't care if adults dress up for adults.

The problem is they can't seem to thrive without the approval of everyone. Its all about acceptance.

That’s liberals biggest issue. They force their shite in places it doesn’t belong. Hey I have no issue with you doing your thing as long as it makes sense. Doing this drag lunch in Nola or Spanish town, sure. But in fricking New Roads? I mean come on. What would the reaction be if black rifle coffee opened a location on the gay side of bourbon street?

Probably fit right in

To be fair, I was at least a tiny bit surprised that simply a drag brunch would drive multitudes to boycott dinner 365 days a year unless something truly exceptional happened at it.

And if they became the full time drag restaurant in a conservative town I’d say that isn’t a wise business plan but restaurants, music venues and so on often have events for folks that may be outside the normal clientele

What exactly is drag show? Men dressed like women doing what? Dancing? Singing? Reading poetry? I don't want any of that shite while I am eating. If there is such a demand for this entertainment then somebody just needs to open a place that caters exclusively to this nonsense.

But couldn’t you just not go to brunch that Sunday morning and enjoy the business Friday for dinner?

Maybe theres a different venue that conservatives frequent during the time slot and she simply thought she could cater to both crowds at different times

I don't understand why any sensible thinking person would think allowing these freeks out in public is acceptable.

It doesn't take a lot of effort to stop and protest the "groomers" on their way to Mass at St. Augustine's...

The hyphenated last name should be the first clue.

It sounds like that is what people are doing; Not going to her restaurant at all.

It not much different than making your restaurant a strip club for a night. That also will turn off a lot of customers and I bet Mrs. Hyphenated wouldn't even consider doing that.

She thinks drag queens are mainstream however for some reason.

Smith Early says that for her event, you have to be 21 to attend. She also says she's planning to cover the glass windows on her restaurant so that no one outside can see in.

I have no issue with this. Also have no issue with the state requiring it to be adults only.

Her clientele will let her know if it was a good idea or not, the way it should be.
