They used to be geared towards comedy. But now it's become a tool of the left wing political machine, so there is zero space for comedy. And some have been targeting kids which is just weird.

The one in New Roads did not target kids. In fact it was adults only allowed for the event.

Not surprised in the least. It's her own fault for playing the victim game and making this an "IN YOUR FACE, YOU BIGOTS" issue.

It was also a REALLY BAD business decision to invite such a polarizing event into her establishment in the first place, whether some agreed with her or not. This isn't a mainstream issue; it's controversial as hell.

She invited her own demise- and it showed up.

A business, adults... they should be able to do what they want.

Don't want to see it, don't go. I draw the line at kids.

What kind of brain damage do you have to be suffering from to think this is a good idea in this part of the country?

But isn't that exactly what happened?

I don't think the police sent in SWAT to shut them down, right?

No business has lasted in that location. The longest was the coffee shop. She would have had better luck opening her restaurant in the old piggy wiggy.

I can’t remember that place. Aren’t there multiple businesses right next to each other that at least look independently built right on top of each other?
What business uses the structure behind that goes back towards false river with a pier? On satellite it looks connected to building on Main St but on the graphical map it looks like there is a little separation between the two.

Used to be Satterfields restaurant, but that closed. It’s a private event space now, and a bar downstairs on the water.

What do you expect? Bringing a drag Queen show to a super old school conservative (both black and white) town is business suicide….

And look what happened in no time.

That's what happens when your town is full of racist bigots that don't understand that drag shows are the epitome of tolerance, especially if you bring your young children to experience this expression of tolerance and understanding.

The building that the restuarant is in was part of the Morgan Dept store, which is now the antique store. The building to the right(looking from road) is Sattefields.
