the Lord aka Jody?

Did you just refer to your god in the colloquial term for a random guy that fricks married women when their husbands aren’t around?

Actually, that’s a more plausible description of the birth of Jesus than the whole Virgin Mary thing. You might be on to something. Poor Joseph…

leave them alone, you can't force people to realize religion is a farce.

you were talking about your wife and how she submits to you - the way she submits to the Lord - but you don’t believe, so who is she submitting to? You and ??

why? Mary got knocked up by the Holy Spirit before they were married - Mary told Joseph the truth, and he married her anyway. Who are you to judge?

Plus, why not pull quotes from that book you don’t like about how a virgin will bear a son. Oh wait, not going to use that book if it’s not going to prove a point that you want to prove - got it!

I guess you’ve somewhat grown ‘wiser’ in your years and you do not need to believe in the dogma of the immaculate conception anymore- so wise you don’t even need God.

Did that happen before or after you became a pothead in Boston?

I don’t know how else to explain to you what it means to use your words against you without actually believing them.

How much free time do you want me to use up pulling quotes from the Bible I disagree with?

“ Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you".

Matthew 7:1-2

Jesus taking the lords name in vain Christ it’s so easy to get you to go against what you apparently teach. Must be a shitty diocese.

Though I actually don’t smoke. Not my thing. I’ll have an occasional edible to help me go to sleep but that’s about it.

but you aren’t using the Bible’s words against me - you are picking a part of a chapter and using that - completely taking the meaning of the whole passage out of context. Which is how this whole conversation started because you are saying things out of context or without the true meaning of the word or passage. There are absolute truths despite what you ‘feel’ or what you think you know. Relativism is what ruined society.

let me quote you:

I also don’t care.

really? When did I do that? I asked a question. I did not take the Lord’s name in vain. Plus, I always have confession. But good digression to avoid answering the question I did ask.

As for the shitty diocese - almost everything in and from Baton Rouge is shitty - you shouldn’t be surprised.

It’s been a lot of fun messing with you but it’s about my bedtime.

I’ll end our conversation with this:

I’m going to go to bed and forget your existence. If there is a hell, I’m sure to go there, but I live under no obligation to care about you or what happens to you.

But if you practice what you preach, and want to maintain a moral high ground, which let’s face it is half of why people make sure others know how religious they are, you’ll be praying for me tonight. And if you don’t, you should add that to the list of things you bring up in your next confession.

In closing, to quote a very underrated movie from the 90s: “love, peace, and chicken grease!”

My question to Catholics - How can you be a Catholic for years and years and never bother to read the Catechism? The Bible is fully integrated and quoted in the Catechism. When you read the Catechism you are reading Bible passages and quotes.

Read the Bible passages for every Mass. Read the Catechism. You can take a year to read the Catechism. No need to read it in few months.

You claim to be Catholic yet do not know why we still have a Pope in 2025?

I don’t feel a need to comment any further beyond saying you’ve said quite enough for people , particularly Catholics to form their own conclusion.

Yes, politics make laws prohibiting it.

I’ve come to realize the level of corruption coming from the Vatican throughout history as well as recent Popes immoral views have soured my opinion of the Pope in general. I will continue having my relationship with Jesus without influence from another man

Jesus is the way. Keep your eyes on the Savior and don’t allow hate to settle in your heart.

In my heart I know this alone will keep you close to the Father.

I was very disappointed and disillusioned in my youth with the Catholic Church because of the Vaticans failure to deal directly and effectively with the scandal of some in the clergy.

It took me a long time to understand the Church will be persecuted and has been infiltrated by those that attempt to destroy it.

Im sure you’re familiar with the miracles of Fatima. The Blessed Mother revealed that the Church would go through these trials but will prevail.

Don’t lose hope and keep your eyes on Jesus.
