Mitch can't manage a bowl of jello much less a city..and a shithole of a city it is. Potholes everywhere, murders increasing daily, homeless community set up under I-10, corruption and incompetent leaders. What more could you ask for?

No, it should mean that if/when a hurricane comes in that Mitch should be tied down in a flood area to feel the results of his policies.

Mmmmm. Not so fast.
Landrieu will get a lot of cover from the MSM on this if he still wants something bigger. He is a Progressive, after all. He will be allowed to blame someone else and it will all be OK. He's already successfully avoiding accountability. Too bad he can't play the race card.

This doesn't have much traction outside of NOLA yet. He's still the guy who took down the racist statues, to the extent that his name registers nationally at all. He's still an extreme longshot, but this won't sink him until some PAC gets hold of it and starts making attack ads, and that won't happen unless and until some other candidate perceives him as a threat.

That would be a excellent plan, but in the near term replacing the remaining pumps that were installed in 1925 whose motors require 25 HZ would probably be a better first priority. Doing so would allow all the pumps to run of the standard electrical grid, and no be reliant on a single special purpose turbine power plant for power.

None of the political word vomit he's spewing explains why we've had turbines broken for years, Lakeview's pump station was operating at 50% capacity, the DPW has been stalled trying to clean the drainage due to a failure to release funds by the city, and the wiring that Mitch pledged to fix was never fixed.
Mitch is trying his hardest to spin all this away from the actual issues. But frick him.
In less than a couple of months the man was almost completely by himself able to amass 2 million dollars of both public and private funds and coordinate both the police department and the fire department, and private contractors in one night to tear down the statues, but he couldn't figure out how to fix some broken pumps and wiring issues in 7 years?
Which is it Mitch? You're absolutely and completely incompetent or you're knowingly and willingly fricking the city for your own personal gain? It can't be anything else.

While I agree, Mitch has been saying that he had no idea that the pumps were down so the whole thing isn't his fault. Now he's saying that he is always in constant communication with the SWB. So he knew about it then lied and pleaded ignorance.

There is NOTHING incompetent about them or about Mitch. They're NOT stupid, well some may be to an extent, but they are totally and completely deliberate and intentional. This is happening ON PURPOSE. For what reasons? Well we KNOW that there's corruption in all politics, but especially in Louisiana, people are receiving benefit for this.
