Easily.

And I've traveled extensively. The great Euro cities will never compare to American ones just because of our food and conveniences

And there are only a handful of great American cities.

But none are unique and fun as new Orleans.

My mom grew up in New Orleans in the late 40s to late 60s. She said it was wonderful. Now she says it depresses her and sees no reason to ever go there again.

What is depressing to her about it?

Its probably the best it's ever been and they really seem to making an effort to improve the infrastructure... At least in the fq areas

My dad says the same. He still lives there but no longer loves it. Place is a dump.

Probably the crime, poverty, urban blight. Why don't you look at some pictures of any city in America from the 50s. They've all crumbled over the last 50 years. That's why everyone with a little bit of money has moved to the suburbs. This is true in virtually every city

There are 3 great cities in the United States. New Orleans is one of them.

That huge homeless encampment looked unique and fun when I rolled through there before Christmas.

Maybe it was done up special for the holidays.

"Little Detroit" to the west of it looked great too!

I was there for the game. I was happy to leave. The only positive about my trip was Dave and Busters. I love that fricking place!!

You do know almost every city in America has gone through a resurgence while suburbs are declining.

My family in Kenner and Metairie don’t go in to the city outside of Saints games. That’s changing soon, though. They gave up their season tickets after Brees and Payton choked in the NFC championship game.

I don't like the city much myself, but if you think Kenner and Metairie are better than New Orleans you should have no vote. Kenner is possibly one of the most horrible municipalities in the lower 48.

The small minded people who are happy to never venture into Nola from Kenner and Metairie crack me up.
Usually older people. The wife puts on her moo moo at 5:00 everyday, they watch the Wheel of Fortune and the news, then call it a day:

It would have been a Xmas miracle for your family if your car broke down and you didn’t make it back home.

Don't ever qualify "unique".

Idiot.

No offense.

Eta... it would be a better City if the NFL didn't hate y'all.

New Orleans WAS one of the great American cities

FIFY

The Landrieu's put the nail in the NO coffin when Moon brought in the entitlement mentality. When Moon came into office every major oil company had regional offices or HQ's in NO. One by one, they all left.

It is a crime ridden sewer now, run by crooks and incompetent fools.
