New Orleans sits atop a list of 'College Cities that Get High Marks', in the most recent Princeton Review college rankings.
That's based on student ratings of the towns and cities where their schools are located.
Tulane University also holds a top spot.
Further, Loyola New Orleans was named #1 for Town-Gown Relations, reinforcing New Orleans excellence as a college host. Tulane was ranked #2 in that category

The Princeton Review rankings indicate that Tulane students certainly know how to balance their lifestyles.

Tulane University came in 3rd place this year on the "Top Party Schools" list. It also claimed the top spot for the availability of liquor, ranking 1st on the company's "Lots of Hard Liquor" list.
Four other Louisiana college and universities made Princeton Review's list of the nation's 384 best colleges: LSU, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, University of New Orleans and Xavier University.
quote:
“New Orleans is one of the nation's oldest and most culturally diverse cities but also one of the most innovative and vibrant. On campus, there are palm trees and an average of 216 days of sunshine, making New Orleans a paradise city. With 21 James Beard Award-winning chefs and more than 1400 restaurants, dining out in New Orleans is truly an experience like no other. And with 65 festivals a year, there is always something new and different to experience.”
New Orleans is also home to Dillard, SUNO, Delgado, and Holy Cross colleges.

You can bash Louisiana and love New Orleans at the same time. Nothing else in the state compares to that city.

Weird. I was there for almost a week this month and I didn’t see any vomit on the streets. Then again, I stayed away from bourbon.
