We were walking back from Beale St and a woman drove by, noticed us, and yelled out that we weren't in a safe area.

I stayed in downtown Memphis for a week about a block from Beale St a few years ago. That area changes dramatically when the sun goes down

If you ever get in trouble with an unruly gang member, just start taking off your clothes to get butt naked and try and kiss and hug them.

They get freaked out and might even lighten up.

This is a crock....N.O. has been ruined by Democrats just like any other city that they control!

Eh, it's the same tactic the BLM folks employ. Attack the detractors and don't look in the mirror.

Yeah but the jazz music and brass bands you surely heard while pumping gas totally make up for it's deficiencies.

It's so unique!!!!

It was just amazing to watch all those kids dancing with bottle caps on their shoes! So happy and welcoming! I'm seriously thinking about moving to such a diverse and vibrant city!

Made the mistake of running low on fuel on the way home from the beach yesterday. Got off of the Bullard exit.

I would have taken my chances and just pushed that motherf***** on the Interstate if it ran out of gas.

That area was nice back in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

I remember Bill Burr a few years ago talking about how he loved New Orleans, but saying that after 5 o'clock, it seemed like every person that ever filled out a W-2 form seemed to disappear from the streets. Although an exaggeration, I thought it was pretty funny and can seem true depending on where you're at in the city.

I just carry a "Take em Down NOLA" magnet with me and slap it on my car door if I have to drive through there. It's like having a toll tag and they just wave you through instead of mugging you.

I would imagine sympathetic whiteys are a good mark for them. Their guards will be lowered because they force themselves to push all intuition aside due to their white guilt.

You sound really bitter. And not just today, pretty often in any thread about Nola.

Show me on the doll.....

I am as well... its inexcusable, the violent crime that is. Zero excuse. I hate it.
