100% excited about this - I just quit smoking a year ago and haven't gone out much since due to the temptation when around the smoke. No more! Baton Rouge needs to hurry up and do the same so that people can hang out inside the Bulldog and Cove.

Next step will be to ban on outdoor patios within a certain distance of public sidewalks.

Withno context surrounding. Great post.

I'm ok with it in this one particular instance because of personal selfish reasons. Like I said earlier in that thread, and my first post in this one. That is not a contradiction. I said it from the get go.

Next up they will pass a law you can't consume alcohol past midnight.

fricking women council persons (Susan Guidry )have already started mucking up the go-cup provisions for certain new establishments.

I know, right/ Like the US has never restricted anything before.
I bet people were upset when they stopped putting morpheme in cough syrup as well.

Anyone who supports this is just letting their personal feelings towards smoking cloud what is really happening here.

THE GOVERNMENT IS TELLING PEOPLE WHAT THEY CAN AND CANNOT DO IN A PLACE OF PRIVATE OWNERSHIP!!

This is just smoking and I HATE smoking, but what's next?

ETA: And I don't want to go off the rails tin foil hat guy here, but open a history book. This is how stuff in countries like Germany and the Soviet Union got started with more restrictions.

As dumb as the smoking ban is, placing the same ban on vaping is significantly dumber.

Especially when they went out of their way to define it as an activity other than smoking. That makes no sense at all.
