I personally like the law. I would prefer if there were actual places that non-smokers could enjoy though or businesses have smoke free areas. But I don't care for the law that forces businesses to do this as well. New Orleans gave no option to the non smoker other than just don't go. Most people that smoke have really no idea how bad they smell or how bad it makes others smell. I hate going to Harrahs and have my eyes go blood shot from the smoke. But that's all just me. It will make for a more enjoyable visit to New Orleans for myself and my family.

Calm down. Many cities have already had laws like this for YEARS and you don't see us living like communists in those cities

the government has no right telling a private business that they can't do a legal activity within that property

What would your argument be if government said you could not smoke in your own home?

There is little to no difference with what they have done here.

I smoke. I probably go to DBA more than any bar in NOLA.. It's a non-smoking bar and I'm cool with that.
