I personally like the law. I would prefer if there were actual places that non-smokers could enjoy though or businesses have smoke free areas. But I don't care for the law that forces businesses to do this as well. New Orleans gave no option to the non smoker other than just don't go. Most people that smoke have really no idea how bad they smell or how bad it makes others smell. I hate going to Harrahs and have my eyes go blood shot from the smoke. But that's all just me. It will make for a more enjoyable visit to New Orleans for myself and my family.

What the hell else would it have been for?
I'm fairly sure I said it in the other thread. But maybe it was the tread before that one about this.

so?
its still a really, really shitty law
the government has no right telling a private business that they can't do a legal activity within that property

What would your argument be if government said you could not smoke in your own home?
There is little to no difference with what they have done here.

Oh, well. New Orleans was fun while it lasted.
I smoke. I probably go to DBA more than any bar in NOLA.. It's a non-smoking bar and I'm cool with that.

Quit being a pussy. You're not going to have fun anymore in Nola because you can't smoke inside normal bars? GTFO
