I have 3 of the hottest tickets in Nashville to see the Sounds vs. the NO Baby Cakes on Saturday...not-so-subtle brag.

Everybody assumed it was a bad joke. It's really unfathomable why a for-profit company that relies on ticket and merchandise sales would do something so unpopular.

My thing is that I grew up around new orleans and don't recall ever hearing a king cake called a baby cake.

Same. That's why I really love the logos. Someone wrote up an article on where baby cake comes from but I think it's stupid because no one from Nola actually uses the term.

They'd have done better to name the team Mosquitoes. There's really not a worse team name than Baby Cakes. Rougarou would have been perfect for a minor league baseball team.

I keep waiting for Boudreaux's Butt Paste to buy stadium naming rights. It would be fitting.
ETA: They currently have the PCL's worst record at 23-42...so it appears that the organization puts as much work into their product as their name brand.
