It's going to be interesting to see how much of Gayle Benson's interactions with the Archdiocese are ultimately revealed, through litigation or otherwise. The State and all of its branches will do anything and everything to keep it quiet.

It could get really bad. Remember that the NBA forced Donald Sterling to sell the Clippers once upon a time.

If you are Catholic and still support the Church as an organization, you are just as guilty as the priests.

You are helping fund this behavior.

Stop attending and giving to the church and once they feel the hit in their collective wallets, they will crack down and stop this.

It is my experience that large sums of money in any endeavor or venture tend to make corruption all the more likely. I know, that's not some groundbreaking statement. It is hard to wrap your mind around the vast amount of money the Catholic Church regularly handles. It is also hard to wrap your mind around the vast number of hands that are in that collective pot on any given day. Just from a brief reading, I found this study on donations to the American Catholic Church from Georgetown quoted:
quote:

According to Georgetown University, the average weekly donation of an American Catholic to the church is $10. There are 85 million in North America, meaning each week the Catholic Church pulls in $850m through donations from individual Catholics.

I realize that is just spitballing a figure, but it also isn't hard to believe, as the wealthy could far exceed the shortfall of the poor where donations are concerned. Couple this with the Catholic Church's historic lack of transparency in regards to its finances, and it becomes increasingly difficult to trust those in a position to manage said funds.

I'm in good company. I recall they accused Jesus of blasphemy. Ciaphas, the High Priest even tore his garment when Jesus claimed to be the Son of God. Now you spew hatred for the Mystical Body of Christ. You call her the Whore of Babylon. You should get down on your knees and thank God for the Catholic Church. The treasure we (and you) call the Holy Bible was meticulously transcribed, for centuries, by Catholic Monks. Very labor intensive effort for sure. But before there was the Bible, there was the Authority. That Authority was (and is) the Holy Catholic Church as founded by one Jesus of Nazareth on or about the year 33 AD.

Rant and rail all you want, the night before He died Jesus instituted His One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. Now you demons lurking in the shadows can howl and screech till hell freezes over. Read the exchange between Jesus and Peter in Matthew 16:18.

There is ample biblical, archaeological, and historical evidence to support the authenticity of the 'authority' of the Catholic Church. In the origin of your various sects claiming to be the 'true' Church you must list as the founder of your sect some individual: Martin Luther, John Calvin, Henry VIII, etc. The Catholic Church is the only one who dares to list Jesus the Christ as her founder. THAT my friend is fact.

Have a great day.

Why do I need the church to pray to God or have a personal connection to Jesus? I’m not sure of Jesus’ reaction to today’s church. I’d think he’d turn the table over - so to speak.

....and why did Jesus go through the trouble of assigning authority to Peter and His Apostles?

If you believe ‘the Catholic Church’ as an organization are the Priests, you’re dumber than you sound and have absolutely no idea what constitutes ‘Faith.’

required to register as the pedophile sex offenders they are.

You see they gladly will allow you this point because pedophilia is not really the issue. This issue is the corrupt gay mafia in the hierarchy of the Church.

Pedophilia is the distraction to hide the true moral bankrupt clergy within the Church.

There is a line of the gay hierarchy of corruption which can be found with Deardon in Detroit to Bernandine in Chicago to McCarrick in New Jersey(St. Gallen Mafia) and recently Weurl Pittsburgh/ Washington DC. McCarrick leads directly to the influence of the current Bishops Cupich in Chicago, Gregory in Washington DC and Vigneron in Detroit.

These bishops only appoint and hire each other to keep their corruption buried and for the masses to think its a pedo problem.
