quote:

“Probably 15 dirt bikes coming down the street. Then, right behind them were the ATVs all popping wheelings, revving their engines, swerving between traffic,” Weikum said.

New Orleans is done. The crooks and criminals are in full control of the Big Easy. Criminals are brazen and police look the other way.

I'll self report myself and this thread.

It should be legalized and marketed as a French Quarter tourist attraction. Replace the horse drawn carriages with loud and fast atvs.

They could also serve as a taxi service as well as street performers.

This might be minor but the inmates are truly running the asylum. Aside from the hyper-touristy areas, NOLA is on the verge of lawlessness. A culture with no respect for rule of law has bred a population who simply does as they please regardless of others.

This is what happens when your only news source or information of a place is from the OT.

Yes, NOLA isn't the greatest, but y'all blow this shite way out of proportion.

New Orleans needs an old-school yellow fever epidemic.

Avoiding a high speed chase in the city. Probably a smart move.

This shite irks the frick out of me. They let these idiots parade around the street like it's a Moto X meet, and while I was living in the quarter my ex gf got a ticket one morning at 7am for moving her car for street cleaning because she forgot to bring her driver's license. She was literally in her PJ's.

They sure do have their priorities in line.
