We’re getting close to the majority of Covid cases in Louisiana being from vaccinated people despite being an exactly 50/50 vaxxed/unvaxxed state.

The vaccine is obviously a very poor performer in preventing the infection, but still seems to be performing well in preventing death/hospitalizations according to the date you just posted.

If the vaccine the last 7 months only had between 5-10% of severe cases, that means it is doing a great job of reducing virulence?

No one gives a shite about the last 7 months anymore when the current variant is completely different.

Fully Vaxxed?? So they count people who only have 2 jabs as unvaxxed now to help their numbers?

Even YOUR DATA you just posted shows the unvaxxed making up 80% of severe cases, meaning more virulence and more spread from them

You don't need the jab to keep you from dying from the cold

The vaccine still helps stop the spread

No offense, but this is a moronic take that isn’t supported by any real metric.

While I have stated profusely that those over 60, or those with major health issues, should strongly consider getting vaccinated, there are countless instances where the vaccinated are spreading variants.

The people in the hospital and people who died aren't spreading it at bars, concerts, and sporting events.

leas chance of severe infection means less virulence which means less spread

It’s common sense

It’s also common sense to say you can catch covid when vaccinated

Another interesting point

The unvaxxed are far more willing to participate in larger crowed events as well, as they aren’t made up of the branch covidians. This board proves that, but I can provide multiple surveys if you would like

With this wave it seems like the vax and previous infection makes up the same percentage of severe cases

Yet in a couple of weeks the vaccinated make up more cases than the unvaccinated.

We track all of that data internally

I was the same person that said previously infected weren’t getting reinfected in previous waves, and was downvoted by the Karen’s and praised by you

This variant clearly evades prior immunity

What makes you so confident of that?

Any way we could find out the actual numbers of Unvaxxed vs 1shot vaxxed vs not 14 days after being fully vaxxed?

Imo this makes a difference.

So you think it’s the unvaxxed more afraid of covid and gathering like normal?
