Number for the week of 12/16-12/22

Those numbers for the week of 12/9-12/15 were 69%, 84%, 80%.

We’re getting close to the majority of Covid cases in Louisiana being from vaccinated people despite being an exactly 50/50 vaxxed/unvaxxed state.

The hardest part of 2 weeks to flatten the curve is the first 700 days.

I give a shite when the unvaccinated are required to test weekly when it’s the vaccinated who don’t have to get tested spreading Covid more than the unvaccinated

Any context on these numbers besides percentages?

So you agree the vaccine was working extremely well until this newest variant? Considering it was roughly 90% making up hospital numbers and 80% making up positive cases for months

My wife isn’t vaccinated and she’s only been tested twice for COVID since this shite show started. That was for surgery.

The hospital numbers don’t mean shite when you count the incidental and asymptomatic cases. And the numbers get skewed when unvaxxed have to test and vaxxed don’t in many cases.

We weren’t requiring weekly testing en masse before this variant so that doesn’t mean shite anymore.

It's like running the prevent when the offense is on their own 1 and getting a false start penalty every play.

Before this wave, it was absolutely unvaxxed and not previously infected making up our severe cases. It was the overwhelming majority

With this wave it seems like the vax and previous infection makes up the same percentage of severe cases

Although it’s still far less per case rate across the board

They will change the definition of fully vaccinated (if they haven't underhandedly done that already). When they do, that 50/50 stat will be way off though. But, they will try and muddy the waters.

They were so low before the “arrival” of omicron that they really had nowhere to go but up, correct. Other parts of the world have shown this wave to come on really hard, then disappear quickly.

Once Omicold is the dominant strain it will be mostly vaccinated cases. And Louisiana is a 50/50 vaxxed/unvaxxed state which will mean you’re better off being unvaccinated.

You MUST take the booster even though it doesn't stop the spread. It's for everyone else, not YOU!
