Hospitalizations overall rose by nearly 150 from yesterday.....Mardi Gras is only a nut hair from getting cancelled. I'd put a grand that the announcement comes when everyone gets back from the holidays next week....unless hospitalizations trend down which I suppose is possible with this thing.
ETA not to mention positivity percent is above 10% for every parish in the New Orleans area including the North Shore. You know how they love cases

The vaccines do not provide IgA antibodies which fights the virus in the upper respiratory system, thus the spreaders have been the vaccinated.

Nah, if the plan is to cancel Mardi Gras they will wait until the last possible second. Even Latoya knows the amount of businesses done if MG doesn't go through this year.
That said, I do see your point of her jumping the gun.

I'm thinking that the 9378 new cases had something to do with those numbers.

It's their decision to not get vaxxed so who gives a frick? I don't understand why vaxxed people bring up these stats

the vaccine was working extremely well until this newest variant? Considering it was roughly 90% making up hospital numbers and 80% making up positive cases for months
This.
I’m curious if vaccinated includes or excludes people who are eligible for and received booster shots and if there is a difference in those numbers.
And I know boat is all excited about this, but this isn’t great news for society as a whole. The less sick people you have the better. It’s the same as when people take the flu shot and find out it’s a different strain of the flu going around that year and a ton of people get sick.

We’re getting close to the majority of Covid cases in Louisiana being from vaccinated people despite being an exactly 50/50 vaxxed/unvaxxed state.
Completely false.
In order to know someone has Covid they must get tested....correct? At least 80% of the Louisiana folks on this website alone claim to be unvaccinated. 90%+ of the unvaccinated Louisiana folks say "why get tested, it's just a cold" or "stop getting tested!", yet you're in some way surprised that the percentages are creeping up that vaccinated account for TESTED Covid cases? Unreal.

IGG just hangs around longer for both infected and vaccinated

The hospital numbers don’t mean shite when you count the incidental and asymptomatic cases. And the numbers get skewed when unvaxxed have to test and vaxxed don’t in many cases.
It is funny hearing media talking about hospitalization numbers, when BR & JP had to put out messages asking people to stop coming to the ER just to get tested.

It is without a doubt Latoya's plan....now the virus/media is making her case whether it's correct or incorrect data.

I don't think she cares....I think she would love to see it happen to white owned businesses.

Ancedotal from various friends and family members who had Omicron in the last 7 days, severity the same whether vaccinated or not. All were well in 2-3 days.

Yep deaths are still incredibly low with only 8 happening since yesterday.

No, it will be mostly hospitalized vaxxed because vaxxed are more likely to be old and unhealthy. Cases are irrelevant.

give a shite when the unvaccinated are required to test weekly when it’s the vaccinated who don’t have to get tested spreading Covid more than the unvaccinated
They downvote you but it’s absolutely true. We are at about 50% vaccinated population but 40% of cases are unvaccinated. It proves the vaccine is garbage in terms of stopping any kind of spread and therefore nullifies any kind of benefit from testing only the unvaccinated.

If you don't live on a constant diet of Popeyes and Red Beans & Rice daily thus obese with clogged arteries, you were actually capable of surviving without hospitalization by almost every set of odds. Then you had better immunity than the vaccine which doesn't provide antibodies for the upper respiratory, IgA antibodies.

Once Omicold is the dominant strain it will be mostly vaccinated cases. And Louisiana is a 50/50 vaxxed/unvaxxed state which will mean you’re better off being unvaccinated.
