I would try a passive/aggressive approach first. Making people your play things is fun for me.

When the wind is blowing towards their house or trailer, pour a little of this out along the fence line

They sit right by the fence in their backyard... so the smoke comes into my yard as if they are smoking in my yard.

If they just moved to a different spot in their backyard it probably wouldn’t be a problem.

What kind of relationship do you have with them? If yall cool, seems like you should be able to go ask if they would mind moving somewhere further back because you can smell the smoke. If they agree then do something that is a good gesture. Bring them something (something you cooked, etc) or pick up their trash the next week or two.. Or something like that.

And every time I go out in my backyard now, I smell cigarette smoke.

I’d like to mind my own business as they are on their own property, but when I am constantly smelling their cigarette smoke on my property, I feel like I shouldn’t have to put up with that.

What is the opinion of the OT?

Write them a check every month for their mortgage and tell them to stop being disgusting and only smoke inside where no one else has to smell their habit.

Or

STFU and mind you're own business.

Pretty simple really.

Unless you are within 30 ft of the, I don't believe you. No way you can smell cig smoke, outside, from more than 20 or 30 ft away.

Is your yard fenced? Get a big dog that maniacally charges the fence and never stops barking. Also, encourage the dog to crap at that fence line.

Your neighbors will stay inside.

buy a bottle of skunk urine cover scent, wait till wind blows in neighbor's direction, place open bottle at property line, rinse and repeat every time wind blows in their direction, don't forget to pick up bottle and cap it when wind changes your direction, your justification if asked is to lure skunks away from both your house and your neighbor's because you are such a good considerate neighbor...

Neighbors probably have a teenage daughter who's in the backyard a lot so this perv smells her parents' smoking when he's peeping on their daughter through the fence.

Fart into one of these and send it their way. You're welcome.

That's another thing about these new neighbors... they have two big dogs in the backyard. A few times a day they end up fighting and the neighbor has to rush outside and break them up.

One of the dogs also barks a good bit too.

Buy acreage next time. Hell, just 1 acre would have solved this issue for you.

I live on one acre, my neighbor smokes outside I can smell it anywhere on my property, its annoying but he is only does it for a short time in the evening.

Only a smoker would believe this.

You should burn down their house. They'll know you mean business then.
