Window units while trashy are nice add ons to help keep a room nice and crisp.
They are helpful when Central Air can only cool a room so much. If you like to sleep in a cold room, you don’t want to freeze the entire house just to cool one room that would be ridiculously expensive to maintain.

I grew up in a house with no central air. I’d rearrange my bedroom in the summer to sleep right beside the window unit, then would sleep by the doorway in the winter be closer to the heat coming in from the floor furnace in the hallway.
No better sleep than coming home from a typical manual labor teenager summer job, showering, and crashing just a few feet from a window unit.

I prefer Henry and Bluebird of what I've heard from Lasso/Stove..which are more along the lines of her Father John Misty collaboration 'Let the Light In'..but love all her albums generally.
