It’s growing on me the more I look at it, but I still wish they would have put the Comanche into production.

MSRP on a 2019 wrangler rubicon is almost $40K
A fully optioned Rubicon will be over $50,000, I expect it to get close to $60,000 when the diesel option hits.
It is crazy, but Jeep is not hurting selling Wranglers in the 40-50K mark.

not really crazy...
i paid $30K for my wife's 2012 unlimited sport. i traded in a 2005 4-dr sport on it for $15K (more than i paid for the 2005). the 2012 has 150K miles on now, i took it to the dealer for some repairs and they offered me $17K for it.
point being that they hold value so well, that you are basically getting a 15- 20K head start on MSRP. assuming the gladiator rubicon is $50K, and i trade in the 2012 for 15K, i'm getting it for $35K and i know i'll get at least $15K back out of it

Yes, please. Wife will only drive white vehicles. It will be mine after she's bored with it.

Jeep truck is all fine and good, but a game changer was announced as well from the startup Rivian. It is the Rivian R1T. All electric, AWD, 400 mile range, tows 11,000 lbs., can run in 3 ft. of water, and does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, 1/4 mile in 10 seconds. Will cost somewhere between 50-60K, but it makes gas/diesel trucks seem silly in comparison.

would be cool if it wasnt ugly and if the cab wasnt built for ants

I like it. I don't think the first pic posted in the thread does it justice. If I had the money I'd get one. But this just means in several years I'll be able to grab a used one to frick around in.

Between this and the new Wrangler, MOPAR is going to sell the shite out of some windshields.

But true. The Wrangler JK resale is freaky weird. My YJ and TJ resale was crap, but the 4 door JK is the soccer mom dream car.
What is even more crazy is the amount of women that actually take their Wrangler to the trails. Most are mall crawlers, but many women are actually using it for what it was built for.

Showed the wife this last night and told her they just announced my next truck. Bought the Highlander to drive the fam in until my daughter turns 16 in a few years. Then I’m getting a used one of these and driving it a long time. She thought it looked weird at first but I told her it checked all the boxes. 5 seats, removable top, 5 foot bed, 4x4, and the Jeep website even had one pictured with a manual transmission.

My JK is a manual now, but I am getting the 8 speed auto next time. Hopefully with the diesel. My Jeeps have always been manual, but an 8 speed diesel Rubicon is going to crawl like crazy.

That bed looks about 1' too short for a motorbike to fit.
The aftermarket companies will have this thing looking sweet.
