I don't really go for mid size trucks. My Mom had a Tacoma and it was pretty weak when she had to haul stuff. It drove very well though incredibly smooth. I'll stick with my normal. Single cab, old diesel trucks for work trucks and King Ranch for daily driver and bigger jobs where I want a lot of punch

I use to have a Ford Ranger. 1989 with extended cab, 5 speed manual trans. Most fancy extra it had was A/C and a cassette player. Loved that truck.

I have an '06 with 311,000 and all I've done is replace the alternator and clutch plate.
I'm fully convinced they did away with it because the profit margin was smaller than they wanted.
Now they reintroduce it at double the price. IMO it will be a flop at that pricing.

my ‘99 had a sticker price of $19,000 (base was around $13,000).
no way in hell you got one 9 year later for half that price.

I could be mistaken, but I imagine the $50k version is the Ford Ranger Raptor. That one will have an EcoBoost V6 from what I’ve heard from engineers in the industry.
The base model Ranger is a 4-cylinder and more in the $25-35k range which is pretty in line with competitior’s mid sized trucks.

They need to get inline with GM Colorado and Canyon to compete. Those start around $21k and go on up average price $28 to $30k. I bought some for work trucks in the WT package 4 cylinder white $21,500 in both 4 true door and 2 door / 1/2 doors.

Jesus, I couldn’t even allow myself to go over 40k for my F150.
