Naw, my 991.2 will gap the shite out of them, even pre-mod. Mass is undefeated, or in this case, always defeated. EVs are one production group that can 60ft me though.

How hard is it going to be to get an allocation for one? It’s about time for something new and this might be a solid fit.
Depends on the dealer and depends on how the community reacts. Smaller dealers may be a better option and that might mean a trip outside Houston. Big dealers often have long lists of VIPs. Just a wild guess is a couple of years but a lot of dealers may require a spend history. It is like Rolex, people get told no for years then someone walks in and gets an allocation off the street. Porsche has been moving the 911 to more halo status and using it as a way to sell Macans and Taycans.
I have been talking to my dealer for over a year about an early year 2 allocation which seems to be reasonable. I have bought all my P-cars from them and just as important sold all of them back to them. My caveat is I would want to push it back if Paint to Sample is not available for the Turbo S then. This is likely my last fast car and plan to keep it for a while so I want something different. I keep landing back on either Gulf blue or Gulf orange. This would give me the option of multiple film stripe, and livery patterns to play with over the years. I have always loved the Gulf 911 race liveries.
It was one thing back in the day when "special" cars were no dicker pay the sticker but ridiculous how many not sp special cars have monster ADMs and or you have to beg the dealers to take your money. Being on the wrong side of supply and demand is a bitch.

Hwy 77 in Louisiana is an absolutely excellent race track.
I drove the stretch between Plaquemine and I-10 almost daily while in high school in the '80s. A decade or so ago I was on it for nostalgia's sake with my daughter and coming into Grosse Tete a dude had parked his old square body pickup truck straddling the roadside dry ditch and was laying down in said ditch to change his oil.
My daughter was apoplectic when I turned around to go back and take a picture. Turns out we had a few friends of friends from high school and bullshitted for 20 mins.
My daughter has since told the story at every thanksgiving and Christmas since. That's all I got. Other than you are dead on about it being a great road for sports car.

I'm sure quandarious and tra'jackson will be ditching their challengers for one of these.

What strikes me about modern 911s is how big they are. I think of it as a smaller car since it's a sports car, but watching that video, that is a large relatively vehicle. It's a beautiful car.

I need to develop a relationship with a local dealer in LA, but the ones near me get very cars.
Ive bought the last two out of state, and will likely travel back to AZ to get the S, if I get one.
My fast car DD days are numbered, so this would be a good one to wind up with.
