some people suspected i was a mob lawyer about 10 years ago, when i quit my job, worked on an appeal for Greek mobster Mike Thevis (aka The Scarface of Porn), and then moved to Montana. But not besides that.

I dated an Italian girl in HS that I swear her dad was in the mob. They moved 3 times to different houses in the same neighborhood.

I've had direct dealings with known LCN. They're generally very respectful criminals. Just don't cross that line with them.

I knew one who was a hit man.

I also had a dealing with John Gotti, Jr.

Absolutely, positively, definitely know that I dealt with members of organized crime when I worked in the casino industry. You couldn't buy food, restaurant supplies or many other necessities in Las Vegas without doing business with criminal organizations.

Yeah, a few years ago in Hammond. I didn't THINK they were in the mob...they WERE mob. One of them actually ended up going to the pen on a RICO beef.

My cousin was a capo in the Columbo Family. He admitted it in court, so it's no secret.

He went into witness protection and testified at several mob trials. I've seen him in a few documentaries on ID and youtube.

Most people think my dad is. One guy I dated asked him "how does he join" and then later told him he wanted to be the Sergeant at arms.

One guy I went to high school was from a "family".

When I went to college, he was in one of my classes and he wanted to pay me to do one of his projects.

It was not a subject I was very good at so I was freaked about doing a crappy job and freaked about cheating.

I told him I was thinking about dropping the class because I stunk. Then I ended up staying in the class and freaked about that.

And he probably had nothing to do with the mob.

I dated a girl whose daddy ran a club in Galveston during the 40s and 50s. Illegal gambling was big time back then in Galveston. Al Capone used to go to Arkansas during the winter and stay at Hot Springs so to bet on horse racing. He caught wind of the illegal activities in Galveston and sent some of his people to check it out. My girl friends dads people met them at the Tex., La. border and sent them back to Arkansas. Capone thought better of it and left them alone. My girl friends dad was finally ran out of Galveston after Texas cleaned up Galveston.

I spent over 20 years in the container shipping business. Lots of contacts in NY and NJ. There were deals done.

Company I worked for owned Princess Cruise Lines back in the day. Princess had a new cruise liner in the late 80's they wanted to christen at the Red Hook Marine terminal. ILA union labor only at that terminal. They wanted to build a grandstand for the event, but didnt want to get raped on the price because the union would have had to approve.

So this old guy who had worked with us for about a million years goes and meets with some individuals in the back of the tick tock diner on Route 17 in NJ. He was in there an hour. Went in with a brown paper bag. Came back out without it.

The grandstand got built, nary a peep from the union. Garrick Utley of NBC News did the NBC Nightly News from the bridge of the ship that same evening. No issues whatsoever.
