K, here's the scoop.

I am heading to North Dakota and thought it would be kinda cool to check out Canada. I've never really been to a foreign country though and am worried about little stuff like drinking the water and if I will stand out. Plus other nations kind of hate Americans. Anyone have any experience with Canada? What kind of culture shock can an American expect, mates?

If you're nervous, then I must be out of my damn mind. I'm going to Panama City, Panama in a few weeks.

I've been to Canada three times....Vancouver, Montreal, and Quebec City. Trust me, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

You will not want to come home.

ETA: This reminds me that I have to go get global entry at New Orleans airport before my trip. I'm skipping errybody.

Have you been vaccinated for malaria, diptheria, typhoid fever and yellow fever?

For starters, it's Canada, not Australia.

If you have a felony or DUI on your record, they won't let you in.

Well for starters, I hope you at least learned their language. So rude for American to venture into foreign countries and only speak American.

Secondly, remember that they drive on the opposite side of the road.

And finally, remember that Canadians wipe with their left hand, so don't shake their hands.

You don't have to worry about that in Canada. Come on man.

Its kind of hard to tell if this is a joke post. Canadians are just about the nicest people on Earth and love Americans. Quebec can be a lot different, but other than that, the only difference between there and America is it will be clean, the people will be nice, and have a different accent.

You better learn not to look anybody in they eye or you'll live to regret it. Canadians are an angry, violent people who hate Americans and can sense when one is around. It's common for packs of roving Canadian marauders to patrol the streets with large, wooden implements called "hockey sticks" and beat foreigners to death with them. Beware the Labatt beer and maple syrup as they are both highly addictive to someone born without a natural tolerance. The Canadian mounted police often come off as cordial but have a reputation for getting a little too friendly with American males as their justice system is corrupt. Good luck.
