The fact the the primary form of erosion on the sphinx is frome being submerged in water. Something that hasn't happened in that area since before the dawn of human history.
Not all geologist agree with this theory.

one, maybe more than one human civilization that existed on Earth in the distant past that were more technologically advanced than we are today, but were wiped out by either some natural catastrophe or destroyed themselves in war.
You think all that could've happened in a few thousand years?

And "Rockford" has "dork" in it.
No surprise there.

No, that would be wind-blown sand. Which erodes stone very similarly to water.

How would you like to be audited by the IRS for the next 15-20 years, every year?

Hmmmm. We find dinosaur bones and trilobite from 100 million years ago but zero sign of human life. Well actually we start finding homo erectus at 3 million years. So we had evolution of another species a billion years ago and it was completely wiped clean along with their cities, technology, infrastructure....no sign of them whatsoever. Chance of this is zero.

Maybe the previous poster believes the dinosaurs were advanced enough to successfully execute a lunar landing.

You must be a fan of Graham Hancock, as am I. I always love it when he is on the Rogan podcast.

Wouldn't a war that wipes out an entire species leave evidence? What have we found to even begin to suggest this?
Uh, not saying I believe any of the OP's bs, but have you ever seen the moon? That sob looks like the Death Star used it for target practice. I believe all of those craters were made by meteorites, but IF a war on the moon did wipe out an entire species eons ago, that's exactly what I would expect it to look like.

Strange though, how several civilizations existed at a point in time, and then just disappeared without a trace.

PBS Crash Course Astronomy video that has a lot of really interesting information about the moon and why it looks the way it does.
