It changes somehow when I type it. What, did I get the Jr. edition OT or something?

If it's the first time, go talk to them. We usually keep ours in, but had a sudden death in the family and had to leave them outside overnight for one night and they barked all night long. Had a shitty anonymous note in our mailbox when we got back the next day. Just go talk to them.

If you were a true OT alpha, dog would already be in your pack and you could just look at it and it would stop barking. My neighbors dogs bark at them not me.

Throw the dog a bone. It's bored and doesn't get any attention.

Too many people afraid to talk to their neighbors these days
bullshite. I've tried this three times. Two out of the three wound up bad situations. My current neighbor is considerate and although their dogs still bark from time to time they make a decent effort to shut them up so I appreciate it and we remain good neighbors. Still it took numerous occasions approaching them and eventually I still had to call the police and animal control before they got the message. On the previous two occasions I approached neighbors very nicely and asked them to stop their dogs from barking because it was waking up my infant son. Zero fricks given by either of them. I had to call the police and animal control several times then as well. Based on my experience with this unfortunately approaching the neighbors probably won't do much good because people that let their dogs bark constantly all day and night are trashy as frick and won't give a shite. I'd advise to just call the police and animal control over and over again until the neighbors get sick of getting visits by them and finally shut the dogs up. You have to send hand written letters to animal control, so just get a book of stamps and start sending letters on a weekly basis and have the cops pull into their driveway on a weekly basis until they shut their dogs up. Seriously that is the only thing that has ever worked for me.

I really don't understand how people can be so inconsiderate and oblivious. It's really no different than if I were to fire up my dirt bike or cut the grass at 2:00am... but dogs, meh, no big deal.

So you start a thread about it?

Round up Newman, Kramer and Elaine and bring the dog out to the country.

I used to have neighbors whose dogs barked from when they let them out until they brought them back in. After 10+ complaints to the both the SPCA and cops by myself and a few neighbors, nothing was done. So I sat outside a few hours for a week and shot them with a BB gun every time they barked. They learned to not bark after that week, and were quiet after that.
You are so full of shite. Is anything you post ever true?

My bedroom is the room closest to their house. My son's is close as well. It kept both of us up for a while, but eventually it becomes white noise and you pass out. Hopefully it doesn't happen again or yeah I'll probably try to go talk to the guy. He's never been very friendly though.

I'm not going to lie, with LaCouture and Washington going down have me real nervous. Losing those linemen in the 3-4 is huge. Good thing we've got Valentine, but I'm still not counting on him 100% until he proves he can be counted on.

I have a neighbor with three huge dogs that bark all the time. I just got home to take a break and they are barking at me as I type this from my balcony. Only silver lining is my house is insulated well so I can't hear them inside, but when I go outside its non stop.

This...and the idiots can't seem to hear their damn dog barking at all! My neighbor's excuse is "he just thinks he's protecting our house"!

Didn't read all the answers but I know what works and works well.
WATER!
Either spray the dog with the hose or take a cup of water up to the fence, when he comes barking - splash him.
That will be the end of that.
If the neighbor gets mad because their dog gets a little wet -- tell them to frick off, and make it shut up next time it starts barking.
