If I were to arrive at my own damn house to people confronting my children this way, whatever they did wrong goes out the door IMMEDIATELY

you don’t go in someone’s house like that, and you don’t handle children that way no matter what they did. Those people are fricking insane

I can’t imagine being so mentally fragile that I lose my shite over some kids flipping me off.

I doubt they were flipped off. The kids handled it with composure, the adults were lunatics. Seems they just dont like Asian kids in their neighborhood.

I keep saying this.

So many people in life have not been told no enough.

You can’t just walk up in someone’s house and in the garage is considered in the house.

If getting flipped off gets under your skin that bad as an adult, life must be extremely hard for you because you get upset that easy

Saw the follow up where parents of the kids are filing charges. Good on the kids for handling it as they did, the woman is clearly drunk and outright stupid for getting that far involved. Hope she gets the book thrown at her

Good.

Had something like this happen with a crazy arse neighbor when I was in my early teens. A friend of my brother’s (who was 12 at the time) came over to our house after this guy started following him in a car when he was riding his bike. This crazy arse came and banged on our door, screaming that he was going to “frick up” my brother’s friend for riding his bike through his yard (debatable whether it happened to be fair). I yelled through the door that we had a gun (my Dad’s shotgun we were taught to use in a case like this if needed) and we were calling the police. He refused to leave.

We were home alone so I ended up having to call the police to get the guy. He broke the pane glass on our storm door. He apparently had multiple standing warrants for some more serious charges so he went away for quite some time.

they should talk to the parents when they are home about being flipped off.

Yes, the kids were being assholes but it wasn't violent in nature.

We used to have a friend who would yell at our kid for the most small things like walking up the steps at a beach house to go to the restroom after his dad said it was ok and I was out on the patio. Nope, you're out.

The only person I will let discipline my child for non-trivial shite that isn't family or obviously people of authority is his godparents. Because they have a similar parenting style and won't yell and scream at him for dumb things. His godfather also told me that if there is ever a school shooting at my childs school he will be there in two minutes to rescue my kid since he works around the corner and could make it there faster than my husband. Yes, you are allowed to tell my child no.
